WHAT IS HYROX?

HYROX is a global indoor fitness race that combines running and functional strength training in a standardized competition format. Every event includes 8 x 1K runs, each followed by a functional workout station – including movements like sled pushes, sled pulls, rowing, burpee broad jumps, lunges, and wall balls.

It’s designed for everyday athletes who want a clear goal, measurable progress, and real race-day energy. The format is the same worldwide, which means you can train with purpose, track your time, and compete anywhere. HYROX bridges the gap between endurance racing and strength training – testing speed, power, stamina, and grit in one race.

HYROX EXERCISES

With 8 workout stations paired with 8 x 1K runs, HYROX delivers a complete test of strength, endurance, and mental toughness. Every movement is rooted in foundational, functional patterns – push, pull, hinge, lunge, carry, jump, and throw. No complex skills. No specialty techniques. Just raw, repeatable movements that translate to real-world strength and durability.

The race flow is intentional. Early stations challenge your engine and pacing. Mid-race movements test strength under fatigue. The final stations demand full-body output when your legs are heavy and your lungs are burning.

A standard HYROX race includes:

  • 1K Run
  • SkiErg then 1K Run
  • Sled Push then 1K Run
  • Sled Pull to 1K Run
  • Burpee Broad Jumps to 1K Run
  • Row to 1K Run
  • Farmer Carry to 1K Run
  • Sandbag Lunges to 1K Run
  • Wall Balls
