WELCOME TO YOGA AND PILATES AT
THE ENERGY LAB
Starting something new is exciting – and we’re here to support you every step of the way. Explore the FAQs below, and reach out anytime with questions.
Many of our students start with zero experience. Our teachers guide you clearly, offer options, and meet you where you are. The easiest way to get started is with our Intro to Yoga Special – 2 weeks of unlimited yoga and pilates for only $45.
Comfortable athletic clothing you can move in. Think fitted but breathable. Layers are helpful, especially for heated classes.
No! Yoga builds flexibility – you don’t need it beforehand. Strength, mobility, and balance all improve over time.
Most heated classes range from 88°–95° depending on the format. At The Energy Lab, we use Infrared Heat to heat the room. It’s warm – not extreme – and designed to help muscles move more efficiently.
Non-heated classes will range between 73°-84°.
- Water bottle
- Yoga mat
- Small towel
If you don’t have a mat, or forget yours, we have mat rentals available at the studio for $2. We have bottled water for sale in the lobby for $1, and we have filtered water in The Energy Lab, so you can just bring a water container to fill up before class.
Arrive 10–15 minutes early for your first class so we can welcome you, show you the space, and answer questions.
2–3 times per week is a great start. Consistency matters more than intensity.
Yes – it’s one of the smartest additions you can make.
Yoga supports your lifting, hybrid, and endurance work by improving:
Mobility – Move deeper and more efficiently in squats, presses, and runs.
Recovery – Reduce stiffness and help your body repair between hard sessions.
Core Control – Build deep stability that protects your spine and transfers power.
Breath Awareness – Improve endurance, delay fatigue, and stay composed under intensity.
Yoga doesn’t replace your training – it helps you perform better and stay strong longer.
If you’re not sure where to start – you’re not alone. The good news is there isn’t a “wrong” choice.
At The Energy Lab in Redlands, we offer a range of classes designed for different goals, energy levels, and experience. Whether you’re looking for strength, mobility, sweat, recovery, or something more restorative, there’s a class that fits.
The easiest way to decide? Go to our Which Class Is Right For You page. It walks you through each class style and helps you match your goals and preferences to the right fit.
And if you’re still unsure – ask us. We’re happy to point you in the right direction.
